Aquatic and Avian Study Directors
Wildlife International, Ltd. has immediate openings for highly qualified individuals for Study Director responsibilities. An M.S. degree or equivalent working experience performing toxicological studies under Good Laboratory Practice Standards (GLP) are preferred. Study Directors are the point of contact between the company and client, and are responsible for coordinating all study activities. Industrial Hygienist
Wildlife International Ltd. is currently seeking an Industrial Hygienist. Job duties include the inspection and evaluation of work operations and engineering controls to determine potential hazards in the workplace, determining the effectiveness of engineering controls, and to make recommendations regarding these controls. Duties also include maintaining and updating the industrial hygiene plan, emergency response and hazard communication plans.
Biologists
Fish and Frog Biologist –works with Xenopus laevis and a variety of fish species including fathead minnows, medaka, zebra fish, bluegill, rainbow trout, and sheepshead minnow. Frog studies are primarily the amphibian metamorphosis assay. Chronic fish studies include endocrine tests, full life-cycle testing, early life-stage studies and multi-generation studies.
Invertebrate Biologist –works primarily on daphnia and mysid chronic tests. These tests are extremely challenging and evaluate effects on survival, growth, and reproduction. In addition to running tests, job responsibilities include culturing of organisms for testing. Attention to detail a must.
Algae and Aquatic Macrophyte Technician - Looking for entry-level biologists that have an interest aquatic plants. Duties include maintaining aseptic cultures of algae and aquatic plants, preparing growth medium, and assisting biologists in conducting toxicity tests with algae and aquatic plants. Laboratory experience and experience in cell culture preferred. Weekend work required.
Sediment Biologist – Looking for a biologist that has worked with sediment dwelling invertebrates that include chironomids, oligochaetes, hyalella, and leptocheirus. We currently conduct acute and shorter-term chronic tests. We are currently increasing our testing offerings to include long-term chronic tests.
Chemists
Wildlife International, Ltd. is currently seeking entry-level B.S. or M.S. chemists. Duties include analytical support of environmental fate, aquatic and avian toxicology studies. Experience with LC and GC instrumental methods is desired.
